Melanoma Excision Cost Without Insurance in Arlington, TX
Cash price: $2,600 all-in. If a skin biopsy has shown melanoma, the next step is usually surgery to remove the area with a margin of healthy skin around it. Dr. P offers melanoma excision at one flat cash price.

Every DRP Surgery cash price is one flat number covering the surgeon, facility, anesthesia and pathology. No separate bills later. The initial consultation and evaluation is $200, and your exact procedure and price are confirmed at that visit before anything is scheduled.
What is a melanoma excision?
Melanoma is a skin cancer that starts in pigment cells. After a biopsy confirms it, the standard treatment is a wide local excision: removing the melanoma site along with a border of normal skin to make sure no cancer cells are left behind. The width of that border depends on how deep the melanoma is.
The removed tissue goes to pathology, which is included in the price, to confirm the margins are clear.
Warning signs of melanoma (the ABCDEs)
- Asymmetry: one half does not match the other
- Border: ragged, notched or blurred edges
- Color: uneven shades of brown, black, red, white or blue
- Diameter: larger than about 6 mm (a pencil eraser), though melanomas can be smaller
- Evolving: any change in size, shape, color, or new itching or bleeding
Any new or changing spot that matches these signs should be checked by a doctor promptly.
What to expect
Most melanoma excisions are done as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia with or without sedation. Dr. P will review your biopsy report and explain the margin and closure plan. If your melanoma needs additional evaluation, such as checking nearby lymph nodes, he will discuss that with you before scheduling.
Recovery
Most people go home the same day and return to normal activity within a few days, avoiding strain on the incision while it heals. Regular skin checks afterward are an important part of follow-up.
