Pilonidal Cyst Removal Cost Without Insurance in Arlington, TX
Cash price: $3,700 all-in. A pilonidal cyst forms near the top of the buttock crease and can become infected again and again. Surgical removal (pilonidal cystectomy) is the way to stop that cycle.

Every DRP Surgery cash price is one flat number covering the surgeon, facility, anesthesia and pathology. No separate bills later. The initial consultation and evaluation is $200, and your exact procedure and price are confirmed at that visit before anything is scheduled.
What is a pilonidal cyst?
A pilonidal cyst is a pocket under the skin, usually containing hair and skin debris, at the top of the crease between the buttocks. It is most common in young adults, people with thick body hair and people who sit for long periods, such as drivers and office workers.
When the cyst becomes infected it can turn into a painful abscess. Draining it gives relief, but cysts often come back. Removing the cyst and its tracts gives the best chance of a lasting fix.
Common symptoms
- Pain or swelling at the top of the buttock crease
- Redness and tenderness, worse when sitting
- Pus or blood draining from a small opening in the skin
- Foul-smelling drainage
- Fever with a painful, swollen lump
How the cyst is removed
Dr. P removes the cyst along with the tracts that feed it. Depending on the size and history of the cyst, the wound may be closed with stitches or left partly open to heal from the inside out. He will explain which approach fits your case at your consultation.
Recovery
Most people go home the same day. Healing time depends on how the wound is closed and can range from a few weeks to longer for open wounds. Keeping the area clean and hair-free helps lower the chance of the cyst coming back.
What the $3,700 includes
